This deluxe mechanical turnstile is designed for high-volume, high-impact use and provides an accurate count of patrons. The TUT-60MC controls traffic direction in one or two ways and interfaces with any access control device.

General Features

• Overall dimensions are 38 inches high, 7 inches wide, and 27 inches long.
• All materials meet the ASTM standards of the materials industry.
• All fabricated components are yellow cadmium plated to ensure a long usable life, and to prevent oxidation and discoloring.

Cabinet

• 14 and 16 gauge cold rolled carbon steel.
• Rounded edges and sloped cover prevent injuries. No exposed fasteners.
• Painted with a durable, baked on black texture powder coating; no fragile, air dried enamels.

Doors

• 2 lockable doors to access anchoring and wiring of the electrical harness.

Top Cover

• Stainless steel top cover, type 304, polished to a #4B finish.
• Hinged with security cam lock to prevent tampering.

Arms

• Made from 1 1/4-inch-diameter, 16-gallon, round tubing, type 304.
• 120 degrees apart with a machined aluminum 5-inch-diameter hub, which is clear anodized to protect against oxidation and discoloring.
• Arm ends are spun closed, ground, and polished (#4B finish) smooth. No plastic caps.

Ratchet

• Made from machined high-quality steel rather than soft cast iron; different from the multiple, thin, laminated ratchets of other manufacturers.

Bearing

• Self-centering, sealed, maintenance-free main bearing supports the shaft & ratchet assembly.

Operating Mechanism

• Heavy-duty, self-centering, modular mechanism is a hardened assembly made from precision machined, interchangeable parts of high-quality steel to prevent excessive wear-and-tear. No cast iron parts.
• Mechanism returns the arm assembly to its original position after the assembly is turned, regardless of the amount of force exerted.
• All locking components hardened to ensure a long usable life and reliability.
• Rotation cushioned by an aircraft quality hydraulic shock absorber.
• Every rotation of the turnstile is registered by a mechanical counter in the mechanism.
• Mounts to a 3/8 inch thick steel plate, allowing quick and easy maintenance.
